Do you really provide free, no-obligation estimates?

Absolutely, we value each and every one of our potential customers. It is no inconvenience whatsoever to come out and do a complete roof inspection regardless of how big or small your problems might be. Our experienced estimators will come out and evaluate your situation and provide you with an honest assessment for repairing or replacing your roofing.

How long will it take to complete the work?

Small repairs can be completed the same day or the following day to help you prevent further water damage to the interior of your home. For most residential roofs, the work can be completed in one or two days if there is no extensive structural damage. The weather can also delay the process, but we will always make sure that your roof is watertight and protected throughout the process.

What is ice and water shield and do you install it?

Ice and water shield is a protective underlayment that is installed to the bottom of all heated roof sections, valleys, skylights, chimneys and any other vulnurable areas to protect against any water backing up from ice damming. Ice and Water Shield will always be installed to meet or exceed code requirements and specifications.

Do you always replace all the flashing on the roof?

We always replace all the vents, soil stacks and chimney flashings on complete tear offs, to ensure maximum roof life, because they are usually used to keep water out of critical areas, like walls, roof protrusions, or where different roof sections meet.

Can you put another layer of roofing over the existing one?

Most city codes allow you up to 2 layers of roofing on your home. We will always tell you honestly if that option is possible on your home depending on the shape of the existing roof and also if your roof is structurally sound enough to carry the weight of another layer. Most times, if there has been leaking, the existing roof should be removed to allow for the repair of any damaged wood decking, rafters, fascia, and more. The roof must have a significant pitch to allow for an additional layer to be installed over the existing roof. Otherwise the shingle manufacturers warranty will be voided.

Do you protect the siding and shrubbery?

At Restoration Roofing TX, we will take every precaution to protect the house, your plants, trees, and shrubs ect. However some leaves or blooms may be knocked off from falling debris especially on steep roofs.

Do you clean up well after the project is complete?

Debris removal and clean-up will be taking place for the duration of your job. Nails that fall from the roof during the job will be picked up with a magnetic roller. Every effort will be taken to pick up all nails, however a few nails hidden may remain in the grass or shrubbery.

Do you carry worker’s compensation or liability insurance?

As a state licensed and bonded roofing company, we must at all times carry both worker’s comp and liability insurance, and we will be more than happy to provide you with a certificate of insurance with the homeowner as the certificate holder.

Does the homeowner have to get the roof permit from the city?

At our company, we handle the entire process from beginning to end, including getting the permit from the city or village. We want to make it as simple as possible for you.

How does the whole process work?

Once you call us, we will set up a time to come out and do a complete roof inspection. It is not necessary for you to be there, our experienced estimators know exactly what to look for. Once an inspection has been done, we will call you to go over it with you verbally to give you your options. After the verbal consultation, we will put together a proposal in writing and either mail or email it to you. Through email, you will have the option to accept the proposal electronically to simplify the process. Upon acceptance of the scope of work, we will drop off samples so that you can select a shingle color and the work will be set up to fit your schedule. Our standard payment policy is 50% down with the balance to be paid upon completion. If you feel more comfortable with different terms, we will be more than happy to discuss them at that time. We look forward to serving your roofing needs.
